The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development held a working meeting on prefabricated buildings between China and Russia

In accordance with the 2024 work arrangement of the Construction and Urban Development Sub-Committee of the China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting Committee, in late July, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development held a China-Russia prefabricated building work meeting at the Science and Technology and Industrialization Development Center. More than 30 representatives from relevant government agencies, associations, enterprises and institutions of both China and Russia attended the meeting. ​
The responsible person from the relevant department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development introduced the relevant situation of China in promoting the transformation of construction methods and steadily developing prefabricated buildings in the field of housing and urban-rural development, shared the research achievements and practical experience of China in modular buildings, and expressed the willingness to work under the "sub-committee" mechanism Focus on the fields of prefabricated buildings and modular buildings to carry out discussions and exchanges with the Russian side, deepen cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. ​
The Russian side introduced the purpose and requirements of this visit, stating that prefabricated buildings and modular buildings are key areas of cooperation between the governments of China and Russia, and expressed the hope of cooperating with China in areas such as building standards and norms, and professional training to promote technological innovation in the construction industry of both sides. After the talks, China and Russia will summarize and exchange views on the specific cooperation contents and methods in the fields of prefabricated buildings and modular buildings, laying the foundation for further in-depth cooperation in the next step.
